Grateful Life Studio

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This policy explains how Grateful Life Studio (“we,” “us”) handles data in Inspirational Quotes, Bible Verses, Wisdom Stories, and Word Gets Around (the “app”) and on this website. In short: the app does not require an account, and your favorites and records stay only on your device. The free version’s ads, anonymous usage statistics, and crash reports are handled by the services listed below, which process some device data. Word Gets Around has no ads, usage statistics, or crash reports; see “How this policy applies to Word Gets Around” below for details.

Data we do not collect

The app does not require an account and does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

The app does not read your photo library. Only when you choose a photo yourself as a background (a Premium feature of Inspirational Quotes) does the app access that single photo, which is stored only on your device.

Data that stays on your device

Your favorites, quotes you write yourself (Inspirational Quotes), prayer lists (Bible Verses), reading progress and streaks (Bible Verses, Wisdom Stories), reminder times, and other settings are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to any server, and we cannot see them. When you remove the app, this data is deleted with it.

Advertising

The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and records of ad views and clicks. On iPhone, the app first asks whether you allow “Tracking”; only if you tap Allow does AdMob get the iPhone advertising identifier, which is used to show ads closer to your interests. You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

In regions where the law requires it (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), you will see a consent option first, and you can change it at any time in the app under Settings › Ad privacy options. Android users can also reset or delete the advertising ID in system settings.

After you buy Premium, the app no longer loads any ads. For how Google uses this data, see Google’s explanation: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Anonymous usage statistics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage statistics, so we can learn which features people use and where we can improve, such as which theme was opened, whether an image card was shared, or whether a story was read to the end. Each statistic is attached to a random anonymous ID generated by the app, the app version, the operating system, the device model, and the interface language.

The statistics do not include any content text (such as quotes you save or prayer requests), do not create personal profiles, do not record screens or tap locations, and do not store IP addresses or locations. We cannot identify you from the statistics. The legal basis for processing these statistics is our legitimate interest in improving the product.

Crash reports

If the app encounters an error or crashes, it sends an error report through Sentry so we can find and fix the problem. Reports include only the error type, where in the code the error occurred, the app version, the operating system, and the device model. They do not include the text of error messages, the content you save or type, screenshots, advertising identifiers, or any information that could identify you. When Sentry receives a report, it can see the connection’s IP address, but we have set it up so that IP addresses are not stored.

Purchases

Premium payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play. We only receive confirmation of whether a purchase succeeded, which we use to unlock Premium features. We do not receive your name, payment method, or card number.

Notifications, read-aloud, and permissions

Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device and do not pass through any server. Read-aloud uses the system voices built into your device, and we do not receive the text that is read aloud.

The app requests the following permissions only when needed: Notifications (daily reminders); Photos (choosing a background photo, or saving image cards to your photo library). Declining any permission does not affect other features.

How this policy applies to Word Gets Around

Word Gets Around is a map strategy game that we publish. The sections above titled “Advertising,” “Anonymous usage statistics,” and “Crash reports” do not apply to Word Gets Around: it shows no ads, does not ask whether to allow tracking, and does not use AdMob, PostHog, or Sentry.

Your game progress, save data, collection book, records, and settings are stored only on your device. Challenge codes, share cards, and timelapse videos are created on your device and are sent only when you choose to share them yourself.

Leaderboards and achievements use Apple’s Game Center. After you sign in to Game Center, the game gives Game Center your score for each game and the achievements you earn, and other players can see your Game Center nickname and scores on leaderboards. Apple handles this data under its privacy policy, and we do not receive your Apple account information. You can sign out of Game Center in Settings › Game Center on your device, or change your nickname and who can see you.

Word Gets Around requests only two permissions, and only when needed: Notifications (for Daily Game reminders, scheduled on your device) and Add to Photos (for saving share cards and timelapse videos to your photo library; it does not read your photo library). Unlocking through purchase is handled the same way as in the “Purchases” section above.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Because the app has no account, we hold no personal data that can be linked to you. You can delete all data on your device at any time by removing the app, change your ad consent choice under Settings › Ad privacy options, or buy Premium to stop ads. For any request to access, correct, or delete data, write to us and we will do our best to help.

This website

This website does not use cookies, does not use analytics tools, and does not load third-party content. The site is hosted by Vercel, which may briefly process your IP address in server logs in order to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes will also be announced in the app’s update notes.
